Every Kiera Jane bag is designed to age beautifully.
Crafted from real leather and heritage tweed, each piece is made to last for years with considered care. Natural materials evolve over time. Softening leather, subtle creasing, and gentle wear are part of their character.
Leather
Leather is durable, repairable, and designed to develop depth with use.
To care for your bag:
• Store upright when not in use
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
• Keep away from excessive moisture
• Apply a quality leather conditioner sparingly a few times per year
If the leather becomes wet, allow it to air dry naturally. Do not apply direct heat.
Over time, the surface will soften and develop a patina. This is a sign of quality, not deterioration.
Tweed
The tweeds used are tightly woven wool fabrics selected for structure and resilience.
To maintain them:
• Gently brush away surface dust
• Spot clean with a lightly damp cloth if needed
• Avoid full immersion in water
• For deeper cleaning, consult a professional experienced with wool textiles
Handled thoughtfully, tweed retains both its texture and strength.
Hardware
Some designs feature Chicago screws as part of the strap or structural detailing.
These are intentionally used in place of permanent rivets to allow for adjustability and long-term maintenance. With regular use, they may occasionally require tightening. This can be done easily with a standard flathead screwdriver.
The construction is designed to be maintained, not replaced.
Storage
When storing your bag:
• Keep in a cool, dry place
• Avoid crushing or folding
• Lightly stuff the interior to help maintain shape
Proper storage preserves structure and finish over time.
Repairs
Real leather and considered construction mean your bag can be repaired if ever required.
